Antigua Villas: Galleon House

Galleon House is located at Galleon Beach in English Harbour. This comfortable, spacious villa is set in mature tropical gardens overlooking Freeman's Bay and south to Montserrat - it has some of the best views in Antigua, and is less than a 10-minute drive to the village of English Harbour where there is a full range of restaurants, bars and small grocery shops and the marinas of English and Falmouth Harbours. It's also just a few minutes ride by water taxi to historic Nelson's Dockyard. Galleon House is a 35 to 40 minute drive from the Airport and from St. John's, the capital of Antigua.

Galleon House has accommodation for up to 10 guests in five very spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom and one guest bedroom are in the main house. In the gardens surrounding the house are two detached guest bungalows - one with two bedrooms and the other with one bedroom. These rooms can each be made up with either king-sized double beds or twin singles. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning.

There is a well equipped open-plan kitchen and two large connecting sitting rooms which are airy and well furnished with deep comfortable chairs. The house is tiled throughout with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans and is decorated with very attractive furnishings. Air conditioning has recently been installed in the main living areas.

Outside there is a well-shaded dining area with a large circular table that easily seats ten people and a gas barbecue. A more formal dining area is found on the front terrace which overlooks Freeman's Bay.

The large pool is surrounded by an extensive paved area and terraces lead down to the garden. This is a super house in one of the best locations in the area, just minutes from the very quiet and beautiful Galleon Beach where there is safe swimming and excellent snorkeling.
